Kat Von D Beauty Saint + Sinner Eau De Parfum Review

Originally created in 2009, the beloved Saint + Sinner fragrances have been resurrected with the same desirable scents but a completely reimagined design. You can see that Kat poured herself into drawing the filigree scrollwork that encases the bottles and they are absolutely stunning. She chose the glass flacon because it reminded her of a human heart when she held it in her hand. I am loving the detail put into the bottles and how you can tell it was her own personal touch. It was important to her that the bottle be just as beautiful as the fragrances inside and she nailed it. You will want to keep the bottles once the perfume is gone. One thing I absolutely love about Kat Von D Beauty Products is that they are vegan and cruelty-free. The price range for these perfumes are in the same ball park as most other perfumes. I am also really loving the “there are two sides in all of us” slogan as it really completes what the perfumes are about.

It was almost impossible for me to pick a favourite out of the two as they are both such different types of smells yet they can be combined so perfectly to create a sweet yet spicy smell. I think it is absolutely incredible how she is able to pair such diverse fragrances that when combined smell remarkable together. They are not just perfume. They allow you to enter a world of complementary contradiction.

With the first initial sniff from the bottle I was so in love with Saint and not so much with Sinner. Then when I applied them to my skin the scents seemed to change, hence making it impossible for me to have a favourite. Maybe if the perfume was misted on it would give a whole other scent and feel as well.

Saint is a much sweeter and stronger scent. Saint’s strong smell seemed to last longer than Sinner’s. Saint has a similar fragrance to many other types of floral perfumes I have tried. Saint has a more innocent smell similar to its appearance and name. Its fresh and almost fruity smell makes it great for an everyday wear and perfect for summer. Saint is flirty and feminine. However, Saint sometimes smelt like a strong drugstore perfume.

Sinner is a deliciously warm spicy aroma that is almost romantic. Sinner’s scent seemed to fade a bit where as Saint’s scent was a strong, long lasting floral smell. Sinner is a woody, adventurous, sexy smell with a dash of spicy. It has a sort of sultry draw to it making it great for date night and evening wear. Sinner is more on the muskier side compared to Saint.

Both fragrances seemed to fade a bit throughout the day but the baseline scent was always there just not as strong. That being said a little goes a long way with these perfumes. Each of the perfumes distinguishes are very much based on the packaging and scent. Personally, I like to mix the two for the perfect balance and best of both worlds. The two fragrances have similar floral notes so when they are blended together a unique and incredible scent is created. Everyone will have their own opinion in regards to the scents but I am sure everyone will appreciate how unique the total package of Saint + Sinner is.
